2021 Jeep Gladiator at Village Jeep

Jeep trucks are known for tough work jobs.  Jeep SUVs are known for rugged fun.  The Jeep Gladiator gives you both with optional full-time four-wheel drive and an impressive tow rating of 7,650 pounds.  And you can get it with a convertible top, removable doors, and a windshield that folds forward for open-air driving.  It's a truck that also excels off-road.  Models start with the base Sport trim and increase in options available over eight distinct models: Sport, Sport S, Willys, Overland, 80th Anniversary, Mojave, Rubicon, and High Altitude.  The Mojave has earned the newly created Desert Rated designation for its handling in the sand.  If you're apt to encounter snow, mud, or rocks, the Rubicon is a better fit.  This year, every model can have diesel power.  Do you enjoy videoing and sharing your adventures?  The Overland models offer a TrailCam forward-facing off-road camera.  The Gladiator 80th Anniversary includes aggressive 32-inch Mud-Terrain tires and commemorative exterior badging.

ENGINEERED STRENGTH

ORGANIZE THE FUN

The available Trail Rail System is an adjustable tie-down system that mounts on the front wall of the bed and both bed sides. Customize it with available accessories from Jeep Performance Parts.

A PORTABLE PLUG

For convenience in any weather, an available 115-volt/400-watt power outlet is located at the rear of the bed, ideal for charging small appliances like slow cookers when tailgating.

LUXURY NEVER COMPROMISES

FACE THE OBSTACLES

To aid in off-road Navigation, the available Segment-Exclusive forward-facing TrailCam Off-Road Camera offers gridlines that display the path in front of the tires to help you clear obstacles. Plus, an integrated washer lets you clean any mud splatter from the camera with the simple push of a button.

TAKE CONTROL

Gladiator Rubicon offers two impressive ways to maximize your drive. The standard front and rear Tru-Lok Electronic Locking Differentials offer incredible power delivery to the wheels to help maintain momentum on tough terrain with maximum traction. New for 2021, the rear axle can now be locked in 4HI Mode for use at higher speeds or on the dunes.

What can you tell me about the 2021 Jeep Gladiator's features?

The Gladiator comes with Fourth-generation Uconnect system that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a 7.0- or 8.4-inch touchscreen.  Sport comes with a 5-inch screen.  A wash-clean interior with drain plugs makes those muddy, open-air excursions even more fun.  All models come with Dana 44 solid axles and all-wheel drive, cargo bed lighting, and trailer sway control.  The top three trims can also come with a TrailCam, power windows and locks (including for the tailgate), 115-volt outlet, and tinted rear glass.  There are many other fun options to choose from, like a removable Bluetooth wireless speaker, heated front seats/steering wheel, and spray-in bed liner.  If you need something more, Mopar has over 200 aftermarket products from which to choose.

What is the handling of the Gladiator like?

The Gladiator Mojave handles exceedingly well in a wide variety of environments.  Awarded the Desert Rated badge for performance in sand, it also boasts fording water up to 30 inches deep and has a ground clearance of 11.1 inches.  It achieves excellent handling using 33-inch tires, high-performance FOX 2.5-inch internal bypass shocks, and FOX front hydraulic jounce bumpers.  A 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine with ESS powers the Jeep Gladiator with 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.  With the optional Max Towing Package, these mighty vehicles can carry up to 1,700 pounds and tow up to 7,650 pounds.  A fun-to-drive six-speed manual transmission is standard, and a convenient TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic is also available.  If fuel economy is a priority, a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 engine delivering 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque with ESS is also an option.  The Rubicon boasts the Rock-Trac NV241OR two-speed transfer case with a 4.0:1 low-range gear ratio.

Are there many safety features for this year's Jeep Gladiator?

Engineered with an advanced high-strength steel chassis, the 2021 Jeep Gladiator directs energy away from the cabin in the event of a crash. There are over 80 available security and safety features, including electronic roll mitigation, Blind-spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path Detection, Forward Collision Warning-Plus, and brake traction control.  Choose the Blind Spot Monitoring feature for your Gladiator to get radar-based sensors that detect other vehicles traveling in your blind spot zones. If you are towing, Jeep has you covered with its Trailer Sway Control system. This feature detects when your trailer is swaying and will apply brake pressure to individual wheels of the Gladiator to help bring it back in line.
