2023 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer Announced

When the 2022 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer were introduced, they employed a 5.7-liter V8 and 6.4L V8, respectively. While supplying drivers with plenty of power, larger engines require more fuel, resulting in lower gas mileage. The engineers of the 2023 Wagoneer lineup wanted to make the full-size luxury SUVs more fuel-efficient without sacrificing their power and capability. The Hurricane engine was introduced as a more eco-friendly option to replace the larger V8 engine. The all-new Hurricane engine is a twin-turbocharged 3.0L inline-6 cylinder engine. The hurricane comes in two variants; standard output and high output. The standard output Hurricane engine under the hood of the Wagoneer delivers 420 horsepower and 468 lb-ft of torque. Grand Wagoneer models come with the high output Hurricane engine, boasting 510 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. Furthermore, the Hurricane engine improves the Wagoneer fuel economy by up to 15 percent! The 2023 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer lineup still use the dependable TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission. The Wagoneer comes standard with rear-wheel drive, while Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II, and Quadra-Drive II with an electronic limited-slip rear differential are optional. The Grand Wagoneer, however, comes standard with Quadra-Trac II, while the other two 4x4 systems are optional.

The 2023 Wagoneer lineup also brings the new Carbide Edition, with an eye-catching blacked-out interior and exterior appearance. Beginning with the exterior, you'll find Gloss Black on the sill cladding, roof rack, mirrors, and headlight rings. The front and rear fascias and door flares feature diamond black accents. Stepping inside the Carbide Edition, you'll notice Global Black leather seats with Smoke accent stitching. The instrument panel and doors are also Global Black. The Carbide Edition also features a tri-pane panoramic sunroof and black headliner. The Carbide Edition will be available for all 2023 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer models.

A new option for the 2023 Wagoneer lineup is the Wagoneer L and Grand Wagoneer L. These larger-than-life SUVs add twelve inches of overall length, stretching it to 226.7 inches. To make way for this extra length, the wheelbase was extended by seven inches, spanning a total of 130 inches. Not only do the Wagoneer L models stand out with their noticeably larger size, but the additional interior space is also noticeable. Its cargo capacity, passenger volume, and second-row legroom are all best in class, with 44.2 cubic feet, 179.3 cubic feet, and 42.7 inches, respectively. Behind the second row, the third-row occupants are supplied with 36.6 inches of legroom, plenty of space even for adults. All eight Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer L occupants are kept comfortable with plenty of space, even with lots of cargo!
