2024 Jeep Wagoneer S Powertrain

One module powers the front wheels, while the other drives the rear wheels, giving the Wagoneer S its impressive four-wheel-drive capability. The front EDM includes a disconnect feature, which allows it to disengage when four-wheel drive isn't needed, like on smooth, dry roads. In these conditions, the vehicle runs in rear-wheel drive to boost efficiency and range. The EDMs work independently for quick, responsive torque delivery. Powered by a 100-kWh battery pack and built on the STLA Large BEV platform with an 800-volt architecture, the 2024 Wagoneer S churns out up to 600 horsepower and 617 lb-ft of torque, propelling it from 0-60 mph in a mere 3.4 seconds.
What is Selec-Terrain Traction Management?
The 2024 Wagoneer S enhances off-road performance with its advanced version of Jeep's Selec-Terrain Traction Management System. Standard with five driving modes-Auto, Snow, Sport, Sand, and ECO-it allows drivers to easily adjust the vehicle's capabilities via a switch on the center console. In Sport mode, the transmission shifts at higher RPMs for increased power and performance. Auto mode uses sensors to monitor wheel spin and automatically adapts to the current road conditions. Snow mode optimizes power distribution, torque, and traction control for better grip on slippery surfaces. Sand mode fine-tunes settings to maximize traction on loose terrain, while ECO mode engages the front EDM disconnect to improve efficiency and extend range, helping you reach the Wagoneer S's maximum driving range of up to 300 miles.
