
The highly capable Jeep Cherokee is back for the 2019 model year with a fresh exterior design that stays true to the traditional Jeep styling everyone knows and loves. The new front fascia features LED headlights, a seven slotted grille, and fog lamps. Every Jeep Cherokee features a wide aggressive stance which contributes to the SUVs off-road prowess. New this year is the available dual-pane sunroof which gives you the open-air freedom Jeeps are known for. Jeep offers the Cherokee in five different well-equipped main trim levels which include the base model Latitude, the Latitude Plus, the Limited, the off-road-ready Trailhawk, and the luxurious Overland model. Latitude
Walking around the exterior of the Cherokee Latitude you'll notice automatic xenon headlights, 17-inch wheels, and heated side mirrors. If you were to pop the hood of Latitude you would find most models comes with the standard 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine which pumps out 180 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque. Once you get behind the wheel of the Latitude you'll notice the new 7-inch touchscreen display that resides in the center of the dashboard. The infotainment system comes with smartphone integration, Bluetooth, a review camera, and a six-speaker sound system. The Latitude also comes standard with a folding front passenger seat so you can fit longer items in your Cherokee like a surfboard. There is also a storage compartment inside the seat cushion of the front passenger seat that is perfect for hiding valuables in.Â
Latitude Plus
Building upon the features list of the Latitude model is the Latitude Plus which features keyless entry and ignition so you never have to worry about getting your keys out of your purse or pocket. Once you're seated inside the Latitude Plus you'll notice leather inserts in the upholstery as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. You can choose to outfit the Latitude Plus with the Comfort and Convenience package which comes with a power liftgate, remote start, a universal garage door opener, and dual-zone climate control.Â
Limited
Moving on down the Cherokee model lineup you'll notice that the Limited model comes with even more creature comfort features. The standard heated front seats and heated steering wheel in the Limited model are sure to keep you feeling nice and toasty during the chilly winter months. You'll also notice that the Limited model comes with a larger 8.4-inch touchscreen, rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and leather upholstery.
Overland
Not to be outdone by the Limited model the Cherokee Overland comes with all the features listed above plus even more luxurious features. Not only are the front seats heated they also come with ventilation for those hot summer days. The Overland model also features navigation, a nine-speaker sound system, wood steering-wheel inserts, and a sound-deadening windshield.Â
Trailhawk
Last up in the Cherokee model lineup is the off-road-oriented Trailhawk. On the Trailhawk you'll find everything you need to conquer the trails including skid plates, increased ground clearance, all-terrain tires, tow hooks, hill ascent and descent control, off-road-oriented suspension tuning, and a locking rear differential.Â
